Practise day Wednesday 16th Feb, first start Thursday 17th Feb. 

Regatta training/practise day : Wednesday February 16th 11:00- 15:00.
Regatta check-in : Wednesday February 16th 15:00-20:00
Opening ceremony : Thursday February 17th 11:00 on the ice
Scheduled First Start : Thursday February 17th 12:00.
Racing days: Friday 18th – Sunday 20th

Title: JWC 2011 postponed

 

Greetings from Pärnu and the organizing party in Estonia.

We have decided from our side to postpone the Juniors WC/EC at January 
19-23, because there is no ice here in Estonia, postponed until February 
17-20. There are good locations where the sea is open and new ice can form 
near Pärnu and also in other parts of Estonia. But it is not likely that the 
ice will form in the next two weeks and will be safe to hold the regatta.

Training Camp for competitors

World and European DN Juniors and
Ice-Optimist Championship, European Cup
 



Dear youth and junior ice sailors.
On behalf of the Estonian Ice sailing Federation and Pärnu Yacht-Club we would like to invite you to participate in Training Camp and Championships of 2011.

Site information: primary sailing site is Pärnu, Estonia. Reserve sailing site is Lithuania, Poland

Maximum ages - Ice-Optimist sailors born in 1995. DN sailors born in 1990.

Entry, deadline and fee: Online registration in official website www.icejunior.eu to arrive latest 03 January 2011

Fee in Euro for Championship to be paid at check in.
Entrance fee: 30.- Euros.

Accommodation:
20.- – 40.- Euros per day.
Schedule of events:
Final site (and data): no later than January 16. 2011. at 12:00

Wednesday, 19 January training-camp and 16:00-20:00
Check in for Championship
Thursday, 20 January:
11:00 -Opening ceremony, and skippers meeting on the ice.
12:00 - First start

Friday,21 - Sunday, 23 - Racing days

Start of the European Cup will take place after the end WC & EC. WC & EC will be closed Saturday, 22 if 3 or more races are held.
Reserved days:
February, 17-20.
Sailing instruction:
7 races in each class are scheduled for Championship.
3 races in each class needed for a valid regatta.
Ice-Optimists must have the Optimist Logo and the DISC on the sail. Sailing instructions will be available at check in.
Anti-Doping Policy:
IDNIYRA-Europe has implemented the Anti-Doping Program of the World Anti-Doping Agency. Thus during the training camp and the Championships the misuse of alcohol will not be tolerated.
Jurisdiction:
The regatta will be held under jurisdiction of IDNIYRA-Europe and the Estonian Ice sailing Federation.
Insurance:
All participants must show proof of holding a valid third party insurance covering minimum 500.000.- Euros..
